The days of complicated smoothies are dead, well at least over this side. I don’t enjoy my smoothies with an over load of protein powders and so called supper foods in them. I prefer to drink something that is delicious but simple in flavors. Who’s with me ?
I adapted this recipe from an ice cream papaya smoothie that I did a while ago. I figured if it worked as an ice-cream, it would work as a smoothie. I was so right. Papaya does something to all the other ingredients when blended. It makes everything this tastes so creamy and the flavor is super delicious.
I hated the flavor and smell of papaya growing up. I mean when my mother would open one up it would really turn me off. However now I can eat one whole one in one sitting.
Papaya are sweet and have a hint of caramel flavor to them. That is what makes them so irresistible. Did you know that papaya helps you loose weight, fight cancer and also regulates your menstrual cycle ? It is really a supper food all in of itself.
So give this smoothie a try. I also enclosed a video showing you how I made it.
